Dusting tends to be one of those tasks that, as soon as you are finished, you have to start all over again. Dust comes in many forms and is generated from various sources. A well dusted office building translates a positive and pleasing image to all building visitors and occupants. A clean working environment also encourages neatness, promotes better work habits and can reduce absenteeism.
⦿ We move objects (phones, paperweights, pictures, etc.), dust under them, and then place them to their original position. We dust around any papers left on desks or tables. Documents in piles are moved slightly so we can dust under and around them unless our clients have requested otherwise.
⦿ We do not carelessly flick our dust cloths or dusters because this will only spread the dust, not capture it. Instead, We wipe the surfaces.
⦿ We wipe spots and smudges on walls, desks, etc. with a damp microfiber cloth as we move throughout the office area, rinsing it as it becomes soiled.
⦿ Upon the client's request, we use dry microfiber cloths for cleaning computer monitors or conference room flat TV screens. If there are fingerprints or smudges, we use antistatic wipes designed for computers and LCD screens.
⦿ When dusting blinds, we first dust across the top. Then close the blinds and dust the entire surface. Close blinds to the other side and dust the newly exposed surface area. Another way we dust blinds is using a backpack vacuum with a brush attachment.
⦿ In hallways and corridors, we make sure to dust fire doors, fire extinguishers, exit signs, bars on exit doors, door frames/jambs, handrails, light switches, showcases, and any other horizontal/vertical surfaces.
⦿ We dust any areas where dust can accumulate, such as clocks, picture frames, cabinet tops and sides, the sides of desks, partitions, air vents, lights, baseboards, and window sills.
